AIx4Soccer paper proposes unified platform to modernize football club management

Football clubs, academies, and federations juggle a growing pile of disconnected digital tools, and the problem hits hardest outside Europe's elite clubs. AIx4Soccer, a new arXiv paper from Frederico Falconi Costa, Salvador Cesar Costa, and Fabricio F. Costa, tackles this digital divide with a conceptual platform called AIx4Soccer One Platform. It's a multi-tenant cloud SaaS system designed to unify everything from video analysis and GPS performance tracking to medical records, scouting, and administration. The platform embeds the PDI Framework (Individual Development Plan), a structured athlete-development methodology that links personalized plans to video evidence and regular reviews. A companion piece, Tak Tik, is a certified two-sided marketplace that connects clubs with freelance video analysts under a 75/25 revenue split, aiming to make pro-grade analysis affordable for grassroots teams.

The technical core is an event-centric semantic data model, where every fact is stored as a typed, immutable event in an append-only log that builds a growing knowledge graph. The paper makes no claims of empirical efficacy—it's a design and early-deployment document—but it argues for small, domain-specific models over frontier LLMs as the intelligence layer, citing cost, interpretability, and data protection.
