Agoda's Room Grid Bot uses AI to pick your best hotel room
Agoda's new AI chat assistant narrows down room options with a 'Best pick'.
Agoda introduced Room Grid Bot, an AI-powered chat assistant designed to tackle the often-overwhelming task of choosing a hotel room. The tool, available in the Agoda mobile app, draws on the traveler's current search details and preferences shared during the conversation to recommend the most relevant room options directly within the chat. This eliminates the need to manually compare every listing across occupancy, cancellation terms, meal inclusions, and price. Travelers can access the bot from the room-selection page by tapping the "Need help choosing a room? Let AI help you" banner, without leaving the page. They can ask for specific inclusions like free breakfast, query property details such as check-in times, and receive a highlighted "Best pick" to speed up the decision.
The launch is part of Agoda's broader AI-powered suite, which already includes the Property AMA (Ask Me Anything) Bot for accommodation-specific questions and the Booking Form Bot for checkout queries. Together, these tools provide support at each stage of the booking journey, from exploring hotels to finalizing reservations. Idan Zalzberg, Agoda's Chief Technology Officer, noted that choosing the right room is a critical part of the booking decision, and the Room Grid Bot helps narrow options based on what travelers actually need. Agoda, which offers over 6 million holiday properties, 130,000 flight routes, and 300,000 activities, continues to invest in technology to make travel planning simpler and more intuitive.
